Google launches ‘Google Scholar’

November 8th, 2005

Google has managed to change the layperson’s world dramatically once again. This time with Google Scholar, an index of literary works. The search works similarly to Google’s web search; the most relevant results to your query showing up at the top of the list.

Another amazing gesture of bringing information to the world. It seems that many publishers are eagerly working with Google to have their titles indexed.

You can add the Google Scholar to your website, and offer the service to your own visitors also.

I personally love the concept! Especially the tagline on the search page that says it all: “Stand on the Shoulders of Giants” :-)
